Some of My Favorites

I have learned to be satisfied with the things I have and with everything that happens. I know how to live when I am poor and when I have plenty. I have learned the secret of being happy at any time in everything that happens. I can do all things through Christ, because he gives me strength. Philippians 4:11-13

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of hte joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne. Hebrews 12:1-2
